Going to China, Guangzhou

I will be travelling to Guangzhou for a business trip for a week, what should I expect shocking in Guangzhou? I want to be mentally prepared when I'm there and not have a shock. eg: Ladies toilets have nooo doorss...??

Actually,some toilets in China don't have doors,but that's a small part,they are always built long time before,so don't worry.
Can you speak mandarin (if not ,you can go and checkhttp://www.hellomandarin.com or cantonese),if neither, maybe you'd better find a guide.
